Today I am participating (a day late!) in Ginny’s weekly Yarn Along, sharing what currently occupies our knitting needles and reading pile.
After the madness of the Christmas gift making and Etsy shop rush, I decided to take a whole five days off from knitting — and yes, it did feel a bit weird. But my hands, shoulders, and neck all needed a rest. So I sat by the fire for the remainder of my holiday, catching up on a huge stack of magazine reading, which felt such the luxury, I tell you. 🙂
But I’m back to it now, working on scarves and a somewhat abstract shark hat for a special friend who has a special spot in her heart for all things shark. I’ll post a picture when it’s finished. 🙂
The handknit Christmas gifts were a hit, thankfully. It can be a bit tricky sometimes knitting for beyond the immediate family, folks whom you don’t get to see every day. So it was an amazing relief to see everything so well received and appreciated. Now onto new projects for 2013 — can’t wait! 🙂
