gratitude sunday

gratitude — the state of being grateful : thankfulness

On this Gratitude Sunday, I am grateful for:

  • The peacefulness of a(n almost) winter snowfall coupled with the ability to work from home
  • James’ amazing curries — as good as those I ate in India
  • Bayliss and her soulful eyes
  • Knitting in the evenings by the fire
  • Reconnecting with people from the past, both in person and online (good to be back, Holidailies :-))
  • A buttery sand tart with my afternoon tea
  • Scoring a hardback copy of “The Help” for just one dollar at a used book sale
  • The warm lump of Buster next to me in bed
  • A pantry full of food
  • Seeing a pair of pheasants by the side of the road one morning
  • The older man at the supermarket who sings (beautifully) while he stocks the shelves
  • The ability to accept my imperfect life for what it is
  • Knowing that a dash of cinnamon is the secret to the best-tasting chile
  • Encouraging words from people as I take my first steps down a new road
  • Managing to make it to the yoga mat twice this week
  • Thinking outside of my own box
  • Long solitary mind-clearing drives
  • Holiday cheer, which has eluded me many years of late, appears to be in abundance this season

What are you grateful for today?
